How to Play Keno Online

Keno is an exceedingly simple game to play. Almost identical to Lotto in game play and betting, Keno requires selecting a limited amount of numbers and then banking on them being chosen by the organizer of a game, whether they’re a flesh and blood human or a program in online gaming. Available either in video, flash, or online form, this game is perfect for those who want the thrill of the game from their own home.

At the start of the game you’re given a ticket. On this ticket you must predict what 20 numbers will be, each number ranging from one to ten. Ten of those numbers will then be selected for the game board. The computer involved in the game will then randomly choose a number for each of those number brackets. If your number matches what the computer selected, it will be known as a ‘hit’ and you’ll earn money off of it.

How much money? That depends on you. The maximum bet per number that you’re allowed to make is $5, with downward demarcations of $3 and $1 if you so choose. But betting can be more complex than just than you so wish it to be, so here are a few ways in which online Keno may change things for you:

  • Straight bets. You pick the numbers and see what happens. Pretty simple, this.
  • Way bets: You’re more likely to win with these, and the majority of players looking to win at least some cash usually go with these. You can have more than one group of numbers on a given ticket and can win on any of them.
  • Combination Way: Three sets of numbers, where each set has two numbers. Both sets are interlinked.
  • Five Spot Ticket: You pick a group of three numbers and they’re played from five different spots. These are quite extensively used.

Both online and offline versions of this game feature the same betting systems. Which way you play, however, is ultimately up to you and how you conduct your game.
