How to Play and Bet at Craps on the Computer
But there is one facet of craps that continuously proves difficult to master, and indeed there probably aren’t any absolute masters at it in the world: betting. Given the generally random nature of craps there’s really no way to absolutely master the game and ensure that you’ll do well as a result. You can, however, learn how to bet smartly, thereby minimizing your risks and maximizing your potential for profit. In online games of dice you’re required to bet by placing your bid on either the pass or don’t pass lines on the online board. If one wins, the other loses. Sounds simple enough, right? Not necessarily, as ‘pass’ and ‘don’t pass’ might not mean what you think. The first roll is known as the ‘come out’ roll in a game. If the tosser of the dice – hereafter known as the shooter – gets a two or a three, the pass line will lose and the don’t pass line emerges victorious instead. If the shooter gets a seven or 11 on the come out roll then the pass line will achieve victory and the poor don’t pass line will slink away into the night – or, rather, wait around until the next game. If the shooter gets a 12 on their initial roll the don’t pass line will be a push and the pass line will claim success. Any other number beside those mentioned above (four, five, six, eight, nine, ten) are rolled, that roll will be called the ‘point’ and a puck will be placed on a representation of that number on the board.
